Tiny Moment - Dirty & Happy

We are absolutely loving our Thanksgiving Point pass. Best purchase ever (well right now!) Today we decided to head over to the Farm. We love it over there! :)
Checking out the baby chicks.
Going the back way to see the cows and baby goats.
Jaxson is bossing the cows telling it to come here. It was pretty cute. He has the cutest little bossy side!
Feeding the ducks.
Someone was so sad when mom ran out of chicken/duck food money.
He cheered right up when we headed over to ride the ponies. He LOVES them now!
Today we got to do the carriage ride instead of the wagon ride. Jax loved it!

One of his fav parts, playing with the big trucks inside.
A few smiles on the way out.
This is the face of a happy, dirty boy! Such a fun day :)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all my dear family and friends who are ladies. I truly believe now more than ever, it does not take having a baby to be a mother. Mothers come in all forms, in all stages of life. I am so grateful for all the motherly and nurturing types in my life. They encourage me a better person and better mom to my little guy. I am also beyond grateful to be Jaxson's momma. I was reading over the past two mother's day posts. Last year was a rough one. Jaxson was at a very difficult stage for me. He essentially didn't like me :( and only wanted his dad. Me and my little guy have been through a lot this past year and I have personally been through a lot trying to have a second child. And now more than ever, I am so incredibly grateful and humbled to be his momma and enjoy the sacred role of being a mom! He truly inspires me to be more patient, kind, sweet, loving, knowledgable, fun, accepting and so much more. He is the light of life, no matter how crazy he is or exhausted I feel at the end of the day. He's the best of me and Jon all rolled up into an adorable terror package. While our days as mother and son are imperfect, we are blessed with amazing tiny moments together and I could not be grateful! :)

My Mother's Day morning.....
I loved hearing the pitter patter (or rather stomp stomp) of my bubs down the hall, yelling momma, momma. After his hallway stomps, he came busting in our room carrying a card, toting Jon along side of him, who carrying french toast. Yum! I'm pretty sure, he loved my card as much as I did! Love my boys and so grateful for their effort to make me feel special.
Pics of me and my boy!!!
After church, Jon had to head to work and Jax and I headed to the Watsons for a BBQ. So much fun and so sweet of them to open up their home on Mother's day.

I also so grateful for my own mother. She has always been a constant support in my life. Kind, loving, nurturing and encouraging. She is a great example of unconditional love and I am so grateful she has always been in my corner. :)

The New Aquarium

We finally made it to the new aquarium building. Unfortunately Jon had to work but Jax and I headed to the new aquarium in Draper. We were  able to score free tickets through a fertility clinic I consulted with back in March. The facility was pretty cool but so overcrowded and hot that I was literally nauseous from the heat. We will definitely head back on a less crowded day.

Tiny Moment - Oh The Cuteness

Tiny Moment - Bathroom Entertainment

This is what bubas decided to do during my shower this morning. I love it! He was entertained and happy and I got to shower ALONE. :)

Tiny Moment - Soda Time is a Happy Time For All

Gotta love when there is a heavy duty construction truck parked next to the soda drive thru window. The truck was a win for bubs and the soda is a win for me! :) Happy day :)

So This Is Thirty!

I still can't believe I'm the big 3-0!!! Oh wait, nope I decided I am perpetually 24! That's the age I got married and the best show ever, so 24 it is! I've never been a huge fan of my birthday but I will say I didn't cry on my birthday and that's a pretty big deal ;). While I am not where I planned to be at 30, I still love my life with my little family, extended family and friends. I have been blessed with great people in my life and that's all a girl can ask for! :) Well and a birthday date night with her hubby. We were finally able to see Captain America......so good!!!
Selfies, so I can look back when I'm 90 and say oh that's what 30 with a photo filter looks like! Ha!!!! :)
Happy birthday to me!!! :)
PS Could I love this boy more?!!?!?

Tiny Moment - Needs His Dadda

Isn't this saddest little face you ever did see. Jon has been working a lot of hours at work recently. So I took Jax to drop Lola off to play with Hails and hang out at Auntie's (Cook's). I wanted leave Jon some peace and quiet and time for a nap. While we were at Cook's, he teared up and started saying, "I go home", "I go home". So we decided to head out. In the car, I asked him what he was said about. He teared up again and said "I dadda", "I dadda" and reached for my hand to hold. Someone has been missing his dadda bad this week. Needless to say, he started doing a little dance in his car seat as pulled in the driveway.

We All Struggle

Raise your hand if you hate trials....oh me, me, me, me! I'm raising my hands, feet, legs, arms, butt, everything! Is that horrible of me to say that?!!? Probably, ha! I know that our purpose in this life is go to through trials, progressing and becoming more Christlike. I get the whole refiner's fire but it doesn't doesn't mean that I always have to like it ;). I'm not one of those people that go through a trial and say I needed that or I am grateful I went through that. I think the closest I have come to saying either of the above is thinking I am grateful I made it through or in major hindsight I have found gratitude for what I learned. One thing that has been affirmed through every trial I have ever had, especially recently is that we ALL struggle. We all have our trials. We are all trying to cope in our each individual way. We all cry silent and painful tears. We all plead to the heavens above. We all have experienced our own heartbreak, aches and losses. We all have far more than we think we can bare at times. We all struggle.

I know that I am guilty of looking at the outside of someone's life and think they had every talent, looks, personality, finance, etc. box checked before they came down to earth. I am guilty of being more or less envious or jealous because I believe what is lacking in my life is abundant in another's. But the more I live through my personal trials/hell and show my humanity to those I trust, two major things have resonated with me. First, no one has this perfect life or anything close to it. It might be my perception as I read their personal or professional blog or see them in person for a quick moment or two. But the truth of their world, heart and mind is not captured in the words of social media or even in the personal exchange of a quick conversation. The truth of their world is earned with trust and friendship. For example, most people in my life do not know my heartacheS and trialS because as much as I document and share, I hold back ten fold.....unless the relationship is there and the mutual trust has been earned I am extremely reluctant to share. So to some they might look at my life and say she has the perfect life (haha okay I don't know if anyone would really think that! Even at first glance we have A LOT "going on" but we will just use it as a vague hypothetical! :)) But I don't! I struggle.....oh I struggle! Just like everyone else!!! And with this knowledge I have gained, I have developed such a greater compassion for others. My heart breaks and loves more easily. I tend to seek to understand more than judge and assume these days. Because while my heart continually and stubbornly breaks, I know that I am not alone. People around me might not have my same trial but we are all experiencing trials that break and mold us and it's painful people! So with that we all have something deeply in common. At the end of the day it's about not feeling alone, even if our trial is our own. It's about comforting and connecting with those around us. It's about lifting one another up and finding our way to the light. It's about finding understanding, peace and a loving embrace. I just hope that I can provide as much comfort to others as I have received because I have been truly blessed by those around me. At the end of the day I hope I can remember that even the person that flips me off, or is completely rude in the store, is struggling in their own way just like me. I hope I can make it a forever goal to be the person that remembers we are all broken and imperfect, me more than most, and lend a hand, ear and heart always, remembering we ALL struggle.

Tiny Moment - Bestie Boys

Yup, my boys are besties.....to their core! And it's pretty dang adorable.
