Tiny Moments - Day 17

"Joy in the Journey"
Oh how we are missing Jon at our house!!! I've always known that I am blessed lady when it comes to my husband and Jax is a lucky little guy with him for a dad. We try and not take him for granted and we have been doubly reminded of how lucky we are with him out of town and missing him so much. Even though we miss our favorite, we have been trying to find joy in journey this week. This little guy is pretty amazing, happy, loving and always finding joy in his journey. Sometimes my greatest example is my monkey mister.

Bad Habit........."TREATS"!!!

I have a problem! I treat myself like a dog :). I do something good or accomplish something and I give myself a treat. Case and point, I shoveled the driveway and I rewarded myself with the yummiest mug of hot chocolate. Then I survived the day with the grumpiest baby alive and I rewarded myself with one of my guilty comfort foods, Betos breakfast burrito. Oh help me, I need to kick this habit....maybe tomorrow ;).
This.....
Equals This.....
This.....
Equals this.....

Tiny Moments - Day 16

"Mischief at Its Finest"
This kid gets into everything.....every drawer, cupboard, bin, cabinet, etc.....pretty much everything he can! Today he was getting into the kitchen cupboards as usual and when I went to chase him, he ran off putting the mixing bowl on his head. He was pretty excited he found a new hat! Oh how I love this kid. (Even if he was a little terror today!)

Sledding 2.0

What's a monkey and a mom to do when they get snowed in......sled of course!!!! Jon had picked up a little seat sled a while ago and we had yet to use it. So when it decided to dump snow all day, I got us both dressed in our snow clothes and headed out. And goodness me, I am out of shape, so out of shape!!! I was huffing and puffing after about 5 minutes of running up and down the sidewalk. Jax loved the sled when I was running and was perfectly content when I would just walk. We were both little popsicles when we got to the garage. As soon as I took Jax out of the sled and took off his jacket he headed straight for the stairs to the house. And then wasn't content until I was in the house and he shut the door. He is like his momma, likes to have fun but doesn't like to be cold! :)

Tiny Moments - Day 15

"Things to Hold On To"
Lately Jax wants to hold hands all the time. Seriously makes me love that boy even more (if that is possible). He will either reach for my hands or I will ask him to hold hands with momma. He happily grabs my hand and toddles off, toting me along with him. I am truly loving and savoring every hand hold. I know with Jax it's only a matter of time before he is over it and will want nothing to do with holding my hand. So for now, I'm so grateful to hold hands with my best little buddy and the cutest little guy I know. I'm one lucky lady. :)

He Really Doesn't Like Dogs or Anything :)

This video is after Jax realized I had scotty dogs on my pajama pants. He now "barks" at all dogs in real life and on TV, it's pretty dang cute and amusing. Oh sometimes I really like this kid! ;)

Picasso Who?

Get ready for a picture overload (as usual) because Jax's first time finger painting was adorable! We had to find a cure for our winter stir craziness so I busted out the finger paints and let him go crazy. He liked it for about 5 to 10 minutes and then he was over it. But it was definitely a good start. So fun!!!

This is his I am done momma face!

(two dirty wipes later......)
And the monkey was clean!
His cute finished master piece, up on the fridge. Picasso has nothing on my babes ;)

Tiny Moments - Day 14

"Oh Help Me!"
I love my little guy and I want him to love Primary when he goes (I know I have a while) and to love Primary songs, hence I started playing the Children's songbook in the car. However, I am not going to lie, after a while it was driving me CRAZY listening to it. I know I should think it's cute and all but this lady needs her grown up music too! So for now Jax and I share music time in the car (well till he can voice his opinion a little bit more).

Wait This Isn't How You Play Basketball?

Came in from the kitchen to find Jaxson had knocked down the basketball hoop and was basically trying to crawl in, on and all over the hoop. Apparently this is how Jax plays basketball when I am out of the room. Bless this kid!!! He kills me!!!
