The Farm @ Thanksgiving Point with the Littles

Going anywhere with the "Littles" is entertaining but watching them run from animal pen to pen was especially entertaining and super cute. What a fun way to kick off a nice spring day.

6 Months!!!

Whatty-What-What!?!!?!? My babes is 6 months!!!! I seriously can not get over it! I swear we just drove home from the hospital. He was so little, bundley and cute! Oh my little mister.....He is a crazy boy now. His personality is awesome!!! I absolutely adore him. He is a sweet, quirky, loud and tender hearted little monkey. He loves his Momma lots and boy do I love that :). He thinks his Dadda is hilarious, fantastic and loves him tons. He gets stranger danger every now and then, it's pretty tragic. He also has a tendency to get a little jealous as we experienced when I held my new little niece Harper. He did not like that, not one bit and he was not shy about! Here is a run down of his/mine likes and dislikes for the month:

*Likes & Loves:
-Sophie the giraffe, his favorite toy. Loves, loves that squeaky toy!
-His jig. Oh it's my favorite! Whenever he sees his night bottle, or I tell him it's tubby time or get him out of bed in the morning he does a this fantastic jig dance.
-Mom's attention....all the time! :) Love him and he loves an audience :)
-Kisses. Gotta love that he returns kisses with open mouthed and slobbery kisses.
-Rolling. The kid loves to roll. If he sees something he wants he rolls to it.
-Tubbies. Some things never change! He would seriously stay in there for hours if we let him. He particularly loves the little water strainer we have. He tries to grab the water.
-Drool. Okay I don't know if he loves it but he sure makes a lot of it. We are pretty sure he is entering teething soon and really not looking forward to it.
-His aunts and Grandparents. He thinks they are bananas! :)
-Walks in his stroller. He is such a big boy, no more car seat for him on walks! It's opened a whole new world for little man on walks and he is loving it!
-His binky. When he wants it he puts it in his mouth all by himself. Pretty much the cutest thing EVER! Another funny story about his binkies. We keep a stash of them in his crib because he usually only uses them when he sleeps. When he goes to sleep we put him on the opposite side of his binkies but before we go to bed, he ends up laying in his pile of them, one usually ending up in his mouth, one in his hand and the rest all around him.
-"His" highchair. He stills loves his high chair, it's his special seat. He plays with the buckles and the tray. It's a fun toy :)
-The Jumperoo! Oh I think Jax and I love this toy equally :)For me it's awesome because I get a few minutes to get stuff done. For him, it's a time to go crazy. Sometimes he jumps so hard and fast we worry he will hurt himself but it's usually accompanied by a giggle and smile of satisfaction. He especially likes when Jon and I sing along to the music of the jumperoo, he giggles like crazy.
-His toes. He thinks they are the yummiest. :) Whether he has socks on or not, the toes make their way to his mouth.
-Solids. Yes my big boy is on solids, well he has been for over a month. His favorite foods are sweet potatoes and avocados. He also really likes pears and thinks apples are okay but a little tart (his little face is pretty hilarious!)
-The wall. Yup the wall, he loves the texture of it. After he eats in the morning, he loves to rub his hand on the wall and then will look at me and smile....it's pretty dang cute. :)
-Leaning. Okay this is something I like! He doesn't reach out for people yet but he will lean to whoever he wants :)I might like it because he leans for his momma a lot!
-TV remote & any electronic. He loves them all and thinks they all belong in his mouth.
-Peek a boo. His expressions are awesome. He goes from a little sad to totally elated and giggling when I move my hands.
-Swings at the park. He went on the swings for the first time and he loved it. It didn't hurt that Auntie was his cheerleader :)
-Gurgle talking. He has started doing a funny little gurgle talk. It's kind of hard to explain but so cute and funny. (*we have a few videos of it)
-Tri-Pod sitting. Yay for sitting!!!! It's definitely the starting stages of sitting in the tri-pod with quite a bit of toppling over but he is doing so good! He especially likes to sit in front of the mirror. He likes "that baby" a lot ;)
-

Dislikes:
-Napping/Sleeping at Night. I will say mister is doing SO, SO, SO much better! I really cannot complain (okay on most naps/night time sleeps). But I tell Jaxson would much rather play and stay awake forever if I would let him. He is not quite sleeping through the night but getting so close, usually only waking up once.
-Constipation. Our poor little mister has a tendency to get constipated pretty easily. It makes him pretty miserable... understandably. :(
-Sitting practice. I'm not going to lie, Jaxson doesn't really want to sit. He would rather eat his toes and roll around. We do practice a few times every day, which results in a few seconds of the tri-pod sit and then topples over.
-Pollen! Jon has seasonal allergies, I have seasonal allergies and we are pretty sure Jax does too. He has been doing a panting breathing and sneezing a ton so we took him to the pediatrician who assured us he was fine and is probably just following in mom and dad's footsteps with the seasonal allergies but they won't officially diagnose him till he's 3 years old.

We also went in for his 6 month check up and shots today. He is 27inches (71st percentile), 15 lbs 12 oz (19th percentile) and his noggin is 43 cm (29 percentile). So little mister is long skinny dude. He was champ for his shots, only crying for a minute or so when he got the second one. This was an especially great accomplishment considering he either has a cold or bad allergies and had only taken a 30 minute nap for the day (his appointment was at noon and he was up at 6am for the day, it was a long day for all!). We will be very happy when we figure out his whole congestion thing so he can sleep and we can to!!!!!! Other than that we are just loving this little guy and hoping time slows down a little bit.

Easter :)

Easter Sunday was such a fantastic day @ the Conley's. We attended a great Sacrament meeting where I was able to hear most of it! :) Sitting in the back of the gym with the rest of the rowdy babies is always challenging but Easter Sunday brings a special spirit to the meeting.

When we came home from church, Jax and Jon both took naps. After they woke up, little mister was able to see what the Easter bunny brought. That Easter Bunny tried to be so sneaky but he left a couple of bunny prints. As usual with the holidays this year, Jon and I have were more excited than Jax. :)

After we checked out what the Easter bunny brought, Jaxson had another nap and then we headed out on a walk. It was such a beautiful and warm day. Always nice to get out and enjoy the fresh air and family.

Right after the walk we decided to squeeze in some egg dying. Don't worry I had a kit from when I was single 3+ years ago...ha ha, let's just say the eggs struggled. But I did love baking them instead of boiling them.

At the tale end of Easter egg dying, I might have lost Jon to the Masters tournament and Jaxson to the spinning ceiling fan.

We even had surprise visitors, some of our favorite people...the Watsons! They brought yummy cookies and fun times. We love them!!! :) (sorry no pic :()

I love this time of year. What an amazing time to not only remember the sacrifice of our Savior but also the atonement and resurrection. Holidays like this remind me just how blessed I am to have the knowledge of the gospel and to be able to share it with Jaxson.
