Oh little RED! Happy 2nd birthday to you!!! We could not adore this little miracle babes anymore if we tried. He is the light, the loud, the crazy, the fun, the party, the silly. We just love him so dang much!!!
He started his morning out with our family birthday tradition of hallway balloons and this year I chose red for his balloon color because he is our little Red! When he first woke up, he wasn't very excited about it but once he was really awake he ran up and down the hallway, playing with the balloons and loving life. Big brother joined in too which always makes things more fun for our little guy!
Then he wanted to go straight for his presents!
A little bit later in the day, MaDeb & Papa Rick came over for a little LEGO Batman and pizza party. Unfortunately for Benson, West was born 2 weeks ago and I have had a flu bug for the last 3 days.....so his party was kind of last minute. Next year, he is going to have a smash of a party (mostly because I'm feeling guilty about his first two birthday parties, his first birthday was on Thanksgiving). But it was so fun to have them over and share in our Benson's special day and joy! He loves them!!!
This boy LOVES pizza, pretty sure he gets it from his Uncle Tim!
He was super mad because I had Jon block him from blowing the candle out so I could get a picture. He had already blow them out 2-3x by then.
And back happy again because he got to blow out the candle!
He was definitely a fan of the cake!
He was excited to open more presents!
So grateful for this day to celebrate our sweet boy. I can't believe he is already 2! This past year has flown and it's been amazing to see him progress and grow into his little self. He is truly such a joy to our family and others. I swear sometimes I look at him and he radiates happiness and light. Here is a little bit more about our favorite two year old.......
-He is a little talker! He went from just a few words to almost talking in complete sentences within a couple of weeks of turning two. He talks about everything and anything!
- He loves "fancy" socks which is pretty much any sock with a design!
- He says the cutest things....."I lub it", "It's so licious", "I know, I know"
- He is truly a feisty little soul. He knows what he likes, how he likes things, when he likes things and where he likes things or where to go or what to do. I could go on and on. Let's just say we have a very determined soul on our hands.
- He love, love, loves his big brother. He follows him around. He loves to play with him. Pester him. Stalk him. You know the usual little brother stuff. But he truly adores Jax. He tolerates the other brother (West ;)) that cries a lot and hogs his momma. But he still loves him and gives him sweet holds and will pat his feet.
- He finds joy in all things.
- He loves pizza, root beer, watermelon,
- He could live outside for all seasons. He would not care! He hates coming inside and loves all things outside. The dirt, the bugs, the sun, the rain, the snow, all sources of water, the rocks, etc. I could go on and on....the kid loves it ALL! He is the saying, "Boys are noise with dirt on it".
- He loves any and all trampolines and could jump all day, every day.
- He still uses a pacifier and sleeps in a crib. We were going to switch him over before West was born but he's honestly still so little and we are okay with letting him stay little for a while longer.
- He loves playing with cars, Duplos, balls, trains and loves lovies.
-He loves music and dances like a little boss!
-He is still a copper redhead with blue eyes and very far skin. He's pretty good about wearing hats and getting sunscreen on.
-He is the friendliest soul! He likes to wave and say and bye to every single person he sees.
-He is still obsessed with his gray knit blanket from MaDeb and drags it everywhere
-He is a good mix of a momma's boy and daddy's boy. Depends on his mood.
-He is obssed with his 3 M's: Mario, McQueen and Mickey
-He loves the sky, including planes (he can find every single one that flies in the sky over our house or anywhere we are)and all the birds. He points them all out, screaming, laughing and so excited.
-He is very sweet until he is told no and then a little stubborn, stinker side has started to come out in full force.
-He loves all animals and loves to point them all out.
