15 Months....Oh Yeah That's Right!!!

Jax is 15 months (well he was 15 months yesterday, 15 month check up today)! Wait, didn't my babes just turn one....nope pretty sure he was just born!!! He is getting so big and truly becoming such a big boy and it's going way too fast for this momma. Here is our sweet little monkey at his check up. At first he was not giving up his puffies because he was finally getting his appetite back from being sick and then he just wanted to run around and spin the stool.
Weight: 21.4 inches (10 percentile)
Length: 31 1/4 (54 percentile)
Head Circumference: 46.7cm (36 percentile).
We did find out some kind of bummer news. Jaxson has tibia torsion (Tibial torsion in an inward twisting of the shin bones, the bones that are located between the knee and the ankle. Tibial torsion causes the child's feet to turn inward, or have what is also known as a "pigeon-toed" appearance. It is typically seen among toddlers.). So basically with Jaxson, it makes his legs, especially his left, turn in when he walks. They say the cause can occur due to the position of the baby in the uterus. It also has a tendency to run in families. Little known fact about me, is I was in casts and a bar brace until well after I was a year old do to similar issues if not the same thing......so basically either way this comes from his momma......which makes me feel horrible. It's crazy the way a mom's guilt work. Anyways, Jax's pediatrician says for now they will just monitor the tibial torsion. He said most cases naturally resolve around age 3 but there are treatments (braces and worst case scenario, surgery) if it does not....crossing our fingers and saying our prayers for a natural resolution.
