Yuba Lake - 3rd & Final Round For The Summer :(

Our last trip to Yuba for the summer was full of sun, fun and a lot of kneeboarding! :) We had such a blast! A big thanks and shout out to the Johnson's for running me and the monkey....he loved it! :) Loving all the memories made with family at Yuba this summer. Can't wait till next year! ;).

So pretty wicked insomnia runs in my family and it's pretty brutal. I have been able to avoid the insomnia reaper but it hit me these past couple of months. Jon has been trying to convince me to take an herbal supplement to try and help me sleep but I have been avoiding it because anything I take hits me like a load of bricks. But after 3 or 4 nights of really bad insomnia, I told him I would try them out. I'm sure you can tell by the picture the night did NOT go well! I hallucinated the whole night and was hung over for hours the next day.....no more herbal supplements for this lady!

My boy tends not to be a cuddlier :(. He will cuddle when you sing him songs before bed (if he is not bouncing off the walls hyper or exhausted-hyper) and he will also allow the occasional wake up cuddle. So when I say this will never get old.....it never will :). It's far to rare.

Sometimes my little mister surprises me in the best of ways! I had accidentally left the baby gate open when I went to grab another basket of laundry and I came back to my babes gone and almost all the way do the stairs. So, of course I had him go back to the top and go down again so I could video it :). With Jax, where there is a will, there is a way. And if the kid wants something bad enough, there is always a will. :) Go bubs! :)

Manilla Pond

I had been wanting to try out Manilla Pond this summer but was getting a little lazy about my plans. But when my sister, Brooke, agree a free day at a grainy sandy beach was right up her alley we decided to go for it. The kids actually liked it a lot and Brooke and I had a great time chatting and watching the munchkins play. Although it's not the flattest or softest of beaches....it's free! ;)
