J2B2: Nursery is Finished!!!!

Welcome to baby Conley #2's nursery. Love this little adventurer room. Most items are either crafted by me, DI refurbishment, and a few items were purchased at Ikea and Hobby Lobby (items from Jax's nursery: bedding is Pottery Barn, crib and dresser are from Babies R Us and the plush rocking chair is from Target). I'm super excited it's done and love how it turned out.
The bags are packed (well kind of) and we are ready to go (kind of)

My awesomely talented mom made a knitty and a quilt for our new little guy (he is already soooooo spoiled :))............

Tiny Moment/J2B2: T-Minus One Week Until Inducement

I love to go on vacation. Who doesn't right?!?! But whenever I come back, within a day it feels like I never went. Sure I can vaguely remember the anticipation of going, the fun of being there and the memories but when real life kicks back in, almost all is forgotten. Crazy I know!!!! And I have always been like this. This pregnancy, this amazing thing, feels like a "vacation" for me. Well no, let me rephrase, the infertility that led to this pregnancy feels like the after math of a "vacation" for me. The memory of our struggle has been diluted. It was replaced by the joy of finding out we were finally preggers, the discomforts and physical pains of pregnancy and the nerves of life after the baby is born. I'm so nervous about life with two kids, Jaxson's adjustment, losing time with him, not sleeping but finding patience and love for the both of the boys, not sleeping, sleep deprivation, the birth recovery for me (my bum included), breast engorgement, breastfeeding, baby blues, etc. In addition to feeling really sick and miserable this past week, I'm struggling to remember our infertility "vacation" and find the incredible joy and gratitude I should be experiencing right now. I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my little miracle man. A little boy that took two and half years to conceive. I feel him kick, roll, punch and hiccup every day. So tonight I decided to read through all my old thoughts and posts on our two and half year journey through secondary infertility. I wanted to remember the fight, the heartache, the hope.....all of it! I wanted to find the forgotten and hopefully find a renewed appreciation for our struggle and upcoming blessing. And wow, what a journey it has been. So much in 2.5 years! Some much hard, heart break, so many tears, so much angry, so much fear, so much physical pain, so much of it all. But also so much faith restored, so much strength given to my relationship with Christ, my husband, with Jax, so much gratitude for different things in my life, so much healing. Our infertility journey is never something I would wish upon anyone (or even myself) but I am so grateful for everything I learned and for the growth I experienced. Grateful for everything I gained. Everything. I could not be more grateful for this sweet baby boy coming in a week! Yes, the infertility post trip feelings are creeping in, but I'm only a moment from the journey I went through. I hope I will always remember the experience, the good, the bad. What we gained, what we lost. Everything.

Tiny Moment/J2B2: Love Him

Every now and again during this pregnancy I will have an afternoon or a morning where being an adult and mom feels IMPOSSIBLE! Thankfully today Jaxson amazingly figured that out and brought his toys in family room where I was laying down and played right next to me but on his own. I love this kiddo and while this doesn't always happen, I really appreciated it today (because today I REALLY needed it).

Tiny Moment - This Never Happens Anymore

Sadly our napping days are behind with us. But on very rare occasions he will fall asleep on the way home from field trip days or after playing super hard with cousins. Randomly, he fell asleep on the way to do errands today. Which was a first! I couldn't bring myself to wake him, so after sleeping 15 minutes while driving, we sat in the car for another 30 minutes so he could get a little cat nap in.

Tiny Moment - He Stops!

Sometimes he does stop!!!! ;)
Until he doesn't........
I definitely have a busy boy...yup! It still makes me laugh when people tell me that I have a busy one! I'm thinking in my mind....you have no idea!!! Ahhhhh....good thing he is real cute and pretty dang sweet to boot! :)

J2B2: Getting Ready!

I forgot how much you want to throw baby items when you have lost the instructions because its been 4 years and your pregger brain doesn't work! Eventually I found the little logic I had in my brain and was able to put the port-a-crib/bassinet combo together. Thankfully I avoided throwing items around the house during baby Conley#2 set up! :)

Tiny Moment - A Boy With a 1000 Cowlicks

This boy has 1000 cowlicks....okay maybe not that many but it feels like that when you are trying to do his hair after a bath or when he has bed head. Bless this kiddo, he has hair like his dadda did....lots of cowlicks!

J2B2: HBP

Today I went in for my 37 week pregger appointment with Dr. Ollerton at Valley OB. Apparently, my blood pressure was excessively high and they sent me over to labor and delivery to be monitored and have some labs drawn up. Thankfully everything came back great and I avoided being induced at 37 weeks. As uncomfortable as I am, my to do list is too long and I like a sturdy baby....I can wait till 39 weeks.......I think! :)

J2B2: 37 Weeks

(37 weeks with Jax on the left and same with new babes on the right. (technically 36 weeks and 6 days))

Field Trip - Bowling

Today I decided to surprise the kiddos with bowling at Fat Cats in Provo for our field trip. They were so cute and had a blast. After we had some lunch and headed to the Bean Museum. Unfortunately half the museum was closed for maintenance so that part didn't last long (half of it closed until the beginning of January). All and all an awesome extra field trip day!
