Today was Jaxson's first dental visit and he rocked it big time. We may have practiced a little beforehand because he's not always the best at opening his mouth for brushing his teeth. Today he was champ at his x-rays, opening big and wide, holding the film stuff and being still. He loved watching Big Hero 6 as they "tickled" his teeth and opened up wide every time they asked. The dental hygienist was awesome as well as the dentist. They put him on a fluoride chewable because Saratoga Springs is a little lacking in the amount of fluoride in the water. He also talked to me about Jax's pacifier usage. He said at this point he will need a mouth pallet expander around age 8 from the orthodontist. All and all it was a great visit. Jax loved picking out a new toothbrush and prize from the prize machines at the end. If you are looking for a great pediatric dentist, Smart Pediatric is amazing!!!!!
After the dentist we met up with Jon and headed to ice cream and Jax got the Mater he has been begging for :)

It’s great to know that Jaxson’s first dental visit went pretty well, despite the fact that he was having a hard time brushing his teeth at home. I think the big hero 6 helped a lot in keeping him calm all throughout the process.
