Jaxson's 6th Birthday

How is my sweet, sweet, sweet Jaxson 6!?!?! I feel like I was just listening to his squeaker hiccups in the hospital yesterday stroking his sweet little face! But he has grown so much the past 6 years. Time has been so wonderful for his little energizer bunny soul. He is still my go go boy but he goes with a little more purpose and a huge amount of sweetness. Seriously this kid is pretty golden. He has the kindest little soul. He worries and cares deeply about others, especially if they are one of his people. When he plays sports he is usually more worried about the other players then scoring a goal. He is also so incredibly creative and has such a sense of ingenuity to him. He is constantly creating and making his own worlds, pictures, creations, etc. I love to watch his little mind work. I love when he goes into his own little world and it's such a wonder to be apart of it. He is also an explorer of everything. He likes to experience it all. It's funny because he really is a homebody but when I get him out of the house he is all in! And he always gives an experience his all and Jax's all is amazing!!! He still runs with a pretty stubborn streak.....wait, I mean steadfast streak. I always try and view that as a strength because he has such a good, pure soul, he will stand for good things, righteousness and goodness. I could not be more proud of the little person he is and his becoming on a daily basis. I am grateful to be included in his world of happiness, curiosity, exploration, joy, creativity, ingenuity, fun and so much more. I love him more than words and could not be more grateful to be his momma!

Here is a little bit more about our boy right now.....

-He just started kindergarten at Lakeview Academy! What!?!? And he is doing so great. While I only get a little information a day from him but it seems like he is having a great time and it's so fun to see what he is learning.
-He loves going on field trips with Lola and he will definitely be missing those with her in Virginia for the next year. They really do have the most darling little friendship.
- His favorite colors are blue, green, gray, black, white & brown....yup it's quite the list! But he is very sure that he loves them all!
- His favorite foods are burritos, pretzels, pigs in a blanket, rolls, cinnamon toast crunch, strawberries, watermelon. He also loves Sprite, root beer, orange soda and is still a great water drinker. He is still on the waiting list for OIT for his food allergies (peanuts, eggs and dairy) and hoping to get in to the clinic soon.
-His favorite treat would be anything gummy, fruity, sorbet.....does it have sugar in it and no dairy.....then YES, he likes it!!!
- His best friends are definitely his dad and cousins (Barrett, Xander and Lola probably top his list currently). He would like to do every dang thing with his cousins and we got extremely close with them this past year. I think their bond is simply the sweetest and it will definitely be a challenge for them to be apart for a year. He is also starting to warm up to his little brother, Benson. He will also go out of his way to play with anyone and everyone in a public place.
- Loves playing video games with his dad, especially anything Mario related and still plays with all the Mario figures and super hero guys. I'm not the biggest fan of video games but it's so cute to see Jax and Jon have that special time, even if it's with nerd stuff! Ha!
- He still craves and loves playing outside....no matter the season, unless its windy. He is also not a fan of thunder and lightening. It scares him pretty badly.
-He loves all things Lego (especially Batman Legos) and Disney Pixar Cars (including the fun story sets and diecast cars). He will still play with Hot Wheels, Pay Patrol and other stuff but his go to are Legos and Cars.
-His favorite shows are probably still Paw Patrol & Curious George.
-He is still learning to be a good little worker with little jobs and really likes working side by side with Jon, especially in the yard. He will even work with me and while it can be a little hard, his sweetness more than makes it worth it.
-He is becoming quite the little artist and LOVES to draw. When he gets going he will draw and color for an hour or so. And he loves to share and discuss all of his drawings and creations....it's the cutest! You can see the pride radiate from him.
- I love that he always wants both Jon and I to sing to him separately at bedtime. He loves reading books every night. I truly cherish his tuck in time, as exhausted as I am every night.
-He is still our early riser, usually getting up between six AM and seven. He is getting a little more self sufficient in the morning which has been so awesome.
-He finally discovered that showers are not the devil and really enjoys him now (with a buttload of toys and plays FOREVER).
