Tiny Moment - I Cry The Day

Today I finally felt up to taking our Christmas decor down. I honestly love my Christmas decor. I think it makes our home feel so cozy comfy and warm. Every year when I take it down, I can't help but think about the song, I Cry the Day I Take The Tree Down from the Forgotten Carols soundtrack. Love that song! If you haven't listen or read the Forgotten Carols, I highly recommend it. It has such a sweet Christmas message. 

Tiny Moments - Freakin' Socks

Different sock, same hole!!! What the ?!?!!? I swear I find a sock with a hole in once a week lately. Can't wait for flip flop weather :) 

Tiny Moment - Peek A Boo

Isn't my bathroom buddy the cutest?!?! This is my usual view when I am going to the bathroom. Heaven forbid I go or do anything by myself. Life of a parent, especially a momma ;) 

Tiny Moment - A Break

Gotta love the resilience of a toddler. Even when this little guy is miserable and sick, he still has tons of moments of being happy and having so much energy. I think the adoration of his ugly new Cars couch helps with his mood ;). (I hate cartoon stuff! But he loves it, so oh well. If it keeps the cartoons off his clothes longer than I am all about it! Ha!) 

Tiny Moment - Puke In My Hair

Being a mom is a funny thing. Before I had Jax, the sight or smell of throw up would send me running the other direction.....gaging and dry heaving. Now as a mom, I run toward the throw up. I clean up the throw up. I wash throw up out of my own hair. I wash throw up out of and off of clothes, sheets, carpet, stuff animals, etc. You name it and I have probably washed it the past few days. The only way I can explain my change of heart toward throw up is with an actual change of heart, unconditional love. :) Because come on, there has been a lot of throw up in my hair lately!!!! Cheers to motherhood!

Round 2 Sickies

Oh man, I am really starting to hate this time of year. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Christmas!!! :) But I'm so tired of my little guy taking the brunt of every germ that comes his way. (However, I am very grateful we got a two day break over Christmas Eve & Christmas day) And to make matters worse, I got it too. Sick babes + sick momma, no bueno. It is definitely a very unforgiving flu bug and we are hoping it passes quickly and doesn't pass onto Jon.

Tiny Moment - A Mermaid & A Turtle

We love Christmas break! While Jax isn't in school yet, his buddies (cousins Max, Xander, Barrett, Jacq & Taylor) are. So today we arranged for all the kiddos (including the big cousins and little cousins Lucas, Hails & Lola) to go swimming together at the Provo Rec Center. We love the Provo Rec and once or twice a month we are able to go swimming with Shauna and Lola. I love swimming with Lola, mainly because I get to be a mermaid and Jax gets to be a turtle :).  Unfortunately, today was not the best day for the turtle. While going down his first tube of the day, he got stuck behind a 8 or 9 year old who purposely stuck themselves in the slide tube. I frantically looked for my son, he was stuck behind the kid for about 30 seconds, and I am assuming he was freaking out. Such a scary 30 seconds for him and this momma. After the 8 or 9 year old popped out of the tube, I found Jax at the bottom of the slide screaming hysterically. Let's just  say after that, he cried on and off the whole time we were there and would not let anyone touch or look at him. I know the turtle will recover but I am so frustrated with that kid. I know kids will be kids  (Growing up, I could be my own version of a little punk) but when a toddler comes down the slide, move, don't hold him behind you! Makes the momma bear in this lady want to come out. Anyways, thankfully the kiddo passed out on the way home and was his happy go lucky self after his nap. Here's to hoping the turtle will swim without a hitch next time. :)

Tiny Moment - Love a New Toothbrush

Every time I brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush, Jax just has to use it when I am done. Thankfully Santa got the memo and brought an electric Cars toothbrush for him. Needless to say he loves it! :) Gotta keep those teethers healthy!

Christmas Day 2013

The past couple of years we have been loving our quiet (well as quiet as it gets with  toddler) Christmas day at home. We love having visitors come over during the day and keeping it all pretty low key. Love this time of year and especially a day to focus on the birth of our Savior and spending time with family.

Santa definitely had some wishful thinking when he brought big boy under-roos for Jax's stocking. At least they are super cute over his diaper! :) 

Christmas Eve 2013

One of my favorite nights of the year and traditions....Christmas Eve. There is way too much food, giggling, running around, happiness and family. I love spending this special time of year with special people.
