J2B2: Just A Little In Love

Oh my! Love this little profile....a little or a lot! Today was my first appointment back at Valley OB. It was so nice to be back at a familiar place and see my fav doctor, Dr. Ollerton. He was so sweet when I saw him. He gave me a big hug and let me know how excited he was for our family and he knew how hard we worked for this babes. Then I was able to see my trouble maker munchkin on the screen. Our babes was actually pretty chill this time which was little shocking but still oh so great and fun to see it. My due date is still December 1st but based on Dr. Ollerton's schedule and my preference I will more than likely be induced on November 23rd or 24th. It all feels surreal until I don't eat on demand or take my heart burn meds or my belly pops out like it's post Thanksgiving dinner. The baby more than reminds me it is here and excited to come to our family! We could not be more excited or happy. 

Field Trips - Last Field Trip of the "School Year"

So sad that it's the last field trip for a while. The big kiddos are out of school the end of this week and summer fun will begin soon. Our last field trip consisted of our fav jump place, the Bean museum and Swig sodas.

Tiny Moment - Holy Moly!

J2B2: A New Challenge

First I want to say this pregnancy and baby are so beyond wanted, appreciated, loved, etc, etc. We fought for almost two and half years for this baby. With that being said, this pregnancy has presented an interesting challenge for me personally. With all the stress of infertility and tendency to eat my feelings over the last 2 plus years, I've gained about 10 plus pounds over what I consider a healthy weight for me. The first trimester has been a major pudgy fest and loud yelling from the master closet as I try to figure out my clothing. At 12 and half weeks I'm already struggling with the changes in my body. Jon reminds me I am growing a baby and I will only get bigger......this just makes me want to scream even louder (mainly in his direction) and punch him really hard in his baby maker. I am a good lady (well kind of), I just keep screaming at the ceiling and throw clothes. Needless to say this pregnancy has been a lot different than my pregnancy with Jax. I was in awesome shape for me so there really wasn't an extended pudgy phase. I had one but I think I popped within in a week or something around 20 plus weeks. I know four years and 10 pounds between the beginning of my pregnancies makes a difference but it still doesn't make an already grumpy pregger lady very happy! Let's hope getting back in the gym helps me not pack on the pounds. Wish me luck!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing women out there. Over the past few years with my challenges with infertility, I have to come realize being a mother of a child is amazing but there are so many without children that exemplify being a mother and carry that nurturing nature. I am so grateful for their example and influence in my life and in Jaxson's. I know we are better for it. :) 

Being Jaxson's mom is such a blessing and a deep, eternal responsibility. He is my wild man. He challenges me and some days he tests every ounce of patience in my soul. He is sweet, sour, crazy, fun, loving, wild, thoughtful, intelligent and amazing all rolled into one. There's no doubt he has made me a better person and challenges me to be a better mom every day. I am so grateful I get to be his mom and a mom to another little one. Motherhood truly is a challenge and blessing! :) 

Mother's Days from the past......2014, 2013, 2012

Now this lady! Where would I be without this lady. I love my own mom so incredibly much. She is the light in our family. Whatever room she walks into, happiness,  light heartedness and a Christlike feeling follow. There are no words to express my gratitude for her influence, constant love and support and complete acceptance of me. This past week, my mom was admitted into the hospital with heart failure. She is a very healthy, almost 62 year old so it came as a complete shock to her, our family and the many physicians that have attended to her. Right now we are praying the medications start working to prevent a heart transplant. Like I said she is our light and the thought of not having her around for let's say the next 15 to 20 years creates a unbearable sadness. So now we will pray for our favorite lady! :)

After washing the Curious George episode where George creates a mini car wash for his cars, someone could not resist doing the same. It was pretty much the cutest. 

Happy 31st BDay to Me!

Today was a pretty great low key birthday. During the day I was a mom as usual, with a lunch visit and hang out with my sister, Shauna. Then after Jon got home from work we headed to do a 5k with Shauna and the kiddos. And to top the night off Jon picked up Texas Roadhouse....yumma yumma! Great day with family, I couldn't ask for mom :) 

Tiny Moment - Windex

Today while I was getting ready for the day. Jax disappeared to do who knows what. About 10 minutes later he reappeared and told me he had been cleaning in the bathroom. He grabbed my hand and walked me down to his bathroom. There I saw a bathroom completely covered in blue Windex spray. I went back and forth between slightly bugged and to completely and utterly amused. In the end Jax and I talked about cleaning only with mommy for now and I helped him "finish cleaning" which he loved. Man do I love this kiddo and the things he picks up on. 

Tiny Moment - Milking It

I'm a sucker when this boy says he is not feeling well. We get the blankey out, the saltine crackers, hydration and a fav movie. Well this little boy might have discovered this and is now milking it. He was up and running about 45 minutes after this picture was taken.....hmmmmmm......little stinker! :)
