How is it possible that our sweet babes is 4 months old!?!!? And how is it possible that I adore him as much as I do! He truly has the sweetest, loving the little spirit to him. He softens our home with a warmth and love that's hard not to completely adore. This past month has been so much fun as we've seen his personality develop and shine.
He has developed such a sweet adoration and love for his brothers. They get the biggest smiles out of our sweet boy. And Jax is able to get some big giggles. Jax is always great to help West in the car when he is screaming and West loves when he uses his sweet voice with him. Benson is warming up to the idea of having a little brother and his West is loving that and giving him be 'ole smiles.
His sleep is still pretty crappy. However, he is finally giving us a 5-7 stretch. The only downside is that it's usually during the first part of the night when I am awake or have just fallen asleep. He did give himself a new bedtime of 7:00pm (nobody liked his 10-11pm bedtime he was staunchly holding to before). He usually gets in about 3-4 naps a day. He does have to roll the beginning half of the day with school pick ups, occasional drop offs, errands, etc. His best nap is when Benson naps because we are home it is actually quiet. His brothers are very loud. Lastly, he is still sleeping on my bed but hopefully I can get him to sleep in a the port-a-crib one of these days as Benson is still in the crib, we might be on the hunt for another crib soon because I'm not ready for Benson to have free reign quite yet.
Yay! Little mister gurgles talk and coos are back and cuter than ever! I hate when my babies go silent for a week or two It's the sweetest sound and I can never get enough of it!
No rolling quite yet. But that probably has to do with the fact that we suck at tummy time! Third child problems! First we have to make sure the playroom is clean, then do it while Jax is at school because Jax and Bens are in bit time wrestle mode, then I have to wait a certain time after feedings, etc., etc. Oh the joys!
He does love the floor gym. It's usually the only time when he's not napping that he doesn't want to be entertained by me. He's not a huge fan of the lights but loves all the animal toys attached to it.
His favorite lullaby is Sweet Dreams. He instantly calms down and smiles for it.
He screams insanely loud in the car.....the whole car tide.....every SINGLE car ride. Seriously, can't wait for this phase to pass.
He loves tubby time and splashes like a crazy man! And then has the cutest surprise face when the water gets him in the face. It's pretty dang darling!
He loves having his diaper changed. Gets the biggest smile and sometimes even a giggle. He is now in size 2 diapers.....growing up to fast!
He is starting to sit in his bumbo chair and loves it! He loves being able to see what his brothers are doing and have them bring him toys and talk to him. He is definitely far more content sitting there and seeing what is happening than being in his sling or swing.
He loves his hands and fingers and is a big chewer and sucker of them.....well really just whatever he can get into his mouth.....any and all of his digits.
He is nursing like a champ but gets easily distracted by noises (aka his brothers and or anyone is public) and wants to smile and talk to everyone. Definitely makes nursing a little tricky but it's soooo dang cute! We have definitely had to start to nurse in a separate room for brothers (which Bens thinks is a license to get into a little the things and create all the messes! Ahhhhhh!!!!)
He has started getting into into holding and grabbing toys. He's definitely still getting his sea legs wit it but it's so darling to watch.
He still only likes to stand but will sit when you give him a little wiggle.
West also got to experience his first love day (aka Valentine's Day)! We love holidays at our house (Dad says Mom goes a little over board, eh there might be truth to it but they are only little once and I love to bring all the magic to the holidays and make them special). And I love that our little guy makes them even more magical than before.
All and all it's been a crazy, full 4 month for our little guy. We are so grateful he is part of our forever family!!!
