4 Months Old!

My baby needs to stop growing UP!!!! I keep trying to figure out where the last 4 months have gone and also where my newborn went. Jaxson is a crazy little guy now. He can be selectively shy but is usually super chatty and LOUD (After a week of the silent treatment from him)! He is a smiley little thing and his belly laughs and giggles can melt even this mommy's sleep deprived heart! It helps that he is the most ticklish baby ever. Seriously almost every part of that kid is ticklish and it's pretty funny to see him squirm around and laugh. Also, I adore that when he smiles it's with his whole face. This has become an added bonus especially since his hands have found permanent residence in his mouth in addition to anything he can pick up. It cracks me up that his favorite toy is a green teething triangle considering all the toys we bought :). Gotta love the first time parents "learners". Little mister tends to be a lazy little lush when it comes to rolling over from his tummy to his back but loves rolling to his sides, he thinks its bananas. He recently started pulling his legs to his tummy and then slamming then down and finds a lot of amusement in this. He also likes to dig his feet in the floor and buck his bum up. But one of this momma's favorite things is when he is sleeping. He is a tummy sleeper so he will ball up and stick his booty in the air. Oh I find it soooo incredibily precious! The little monkey likes to watch videos of himself on my phone. It's seriously the funniest thing ever. He will be in the foulest mood and we will show him a video and he will calm down, smile and sometimes talk back to "that baby". He also checks out every baby in our ward....it cracks me up! He dislikes his car seat and riding in the car but toys make it bearable for all. He still thinks baths are the best and loves to kick around and suck on the wash clothe. He found a new best friend in the floor gym and could play with it FOREVER. There is a parrot & monkey on it that he obsessed with grabbing and playing with. I LOVE it because I can take a shower! We have put him on TV ban because he loves it a little to much but the other day ESPN was on and he was yelling at the players and I couldn't help but just crack up...I heart him. He still loves his binks and loves to pull it out of his mouth and chew on it. He can even get it back in his mouth sometimes. He also loves having his diaper changed....weird I know. But when I take off his dirty diaper he gets the biggest smile on his face! He loves getting lotioned in the morning and at night, again biggest smile. He thinks he must sit or stand at all times and must face out.....has to be part of the party. He kind of loves attention, just a little bit ;). He is not a first baby or anything :). Sadly my snuggle buddy is gone. Sometimes I will get snuggles after his nap but that is even slowly stopping :(. He likes to be a helper when he gets his once a day bottle and has extremely busy hands at every feeding. Now you would think it's all sunshine and rainbows....oh heck no ! :) He still struggles with sleep (naps and night time). Our house usually runs on 3 to 5 hours of sleep but we are hoping we will turn a corner soon. We are thinking the sleep issues could be stemming from his constant spit ups (acid reflux) but we are going to throw in some rice cereal and see where that gets us. With all the good and the struggles we couldn't imagine a life without our little guy. He is the best and we adore him.
















He went in for his 4 month check up and shots today. He is 25" in length(50th percentile), 14 pounds, 3 ounces (25th percentile) and he is still rocking the little noggin, 41.2 cm (10the percentile). He was a trooper with his shots and it seemed a little bit less tramatic for both Jax and myself. :) (Still love me some baby "tylenol").
