Gratitude

Today during church the sacrament talks centered on gratitude. As I sat there I felt guilty. I haven't felt much gratitude in the past while. In fact, I have been turning into a nasty, bitter lady. After the last talk, our bishop got up and said something that resonated with me, "There is power in being grateful. By being grateful for what we are given, miracles can happen". While I don't know what my miracle will be, I do have faith in that statement. I also believe that miracles are not always what we expect or when we expect. So for today moving forward, I will try and center my life and self around gratitude and pray a "miracle" is still in store for the Conleys. :)

Decorating for Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!! It's time for hot chocolate, Carpenters, Beach Boys, Josh Groban, sugar cookies, ornaments, lots of Christmas movies and so much more. It's also time to decorate....It's Christmas time!!!!!! :) Tonight we put on a Christmas movie, decorated a little and laughed and smiled a lot. :)

I love, love, love Christmas decor. It makes our home feel so cozy and warm. A part of me wants to keep it up all year long! :)

Thanksgiving

Oh Thanksgiving! The holiday where there is too much food, you lack any self control, the kids are crazy and loud, the laughter is even louder and all are remembered. Love this holiday where we get to specifically reflect on our blessings and be with the people we love (& remember in gratitude those who are no longer with us). 

Why do I end up going to the store every Thanksgiving morning looking like this!?! One day I will get my crap together and remember all ingredients and the right amount of said ingredients......probably not!!! :)

Tiny Moment - Faded Glory

We are nearing the end of Mo-vember (Mustaches in November for men's health) and I am doing my happy dance. Jon decided to go full beard this whole month and will shaving everything but the mustache tomorrow and faded glory will exist for only a few days.....thank goodness!!! :) Love this guys of mine.

Tiny Moment - It's Getting Cold

Today I was working on a custom order and I realized it's starting to get cold....I mean really cold. Like so cold my stain is not setting cold! Ahhhhhh, it was kind of stressful but then I discovered I can create a little dryer in our 2nd bathroom. :) Thankfully a little time in the hot box did wonders :).

Tiny Moment - He's Finally Doing It

I made a sorting game for Jax probably a year ago. For the last year, the puff balls have been thrown around the house, mosh pitted on, hid and so much more. But today, he actually sorted the puffs!!! I was happy, I couldn't stop smiling or clapping. I'm such a cheeser mom!!!! :)

Tiny Moment - First Little Prayer

Tonight, Jax said his first prayer all on his own!!!! He kept saying everyone he was grateful for. And he had to say the word grateful every time. I adore this little guy like a lot! :) PS the picture was from earlier in the day, he doesn't really sleep with balloons, although I know he would love to :).
