Tiny Moment - Ponies Everyday

This boy would ride the ponies every day if he could! He now asks for the ponies. And he is getting really brave. Like one handed, pet the pony in the middle ride, brave. He only gave me like 5 heart attacks today during his one pony ride. We love the ponies!!!! :)

Tiny Moment - The Joy of Having a Boy

Note to self, don't stack the laundry bins this way! Because your sweet, mischievous little boy will maneuver his way up the bins and grab his movie. Oh the joys of having a boy!!! :)

A Day of Reminders

Today has been one of those days. The kind of day where everything reminds me of our infertility struggles. Sure, there are the standard triggers I know to avoid close to the beginning of my cycle. I avoid baby announcements, pregnancy announcements, Facebook, Instagram, specific blogs, etc. But today my triggers have been everywhere. They are staring me in the face, almost mocking me. It's been something as simple as walking down to the basement to change the laundry and seeing piles of infant things. The swing, car seat, bath tub, boxes and boxes of clothes. Seeing the items, caused every emotion to rip to the surface, rawer than before. The crazy girl thoughts came to my mind. Wondering if Jon and I would ever have a baby to in our car seat again. I know things will get better in a couple of days. The reminders won't be every where I turn and the pain won't hurt quite as bad. Now it's just waiting for the storm to pass.

Tiny Moment - Cutest Dinner Dates

I'm one lucky lady because I have the cutest dates in the joints :)

Tiny Moment - What My Great Grandma Grace Knew

My great Grandma Grace is a very talented lady with an amazing heart, and an abundant and generous nature. She was my baby sitter for many years and we spent countless hours and days together. I remember I used to love going to her house and playing with her old school toys, most of which would be antiques even when I was a child. Being the kind of lady she was, she crocheted blankets for all of her great granddaughters. When I received mine, I didn't love it. My bratty little child self compared it to the blankets all of the other girls received. Their blankets were colored coordinated with sweet, soft colors. Mine on the other hand, was bold, mismatched and to me at the time....just a little too crazy! Upon moving to Utah when I was 18, I packed the blanket away with a few of my other childhood treasures and stored it at my Mom's home in Oregon. Just this past month, my Mom brought it to Utah on one of her trips. When I received it again for the second time, I was able to look at it with a new perspective. I was able to see what my great Grandma Grace saw in me. She saw in me what was so hard for me to see in myself, my uniqueness, the face that I DANCED to the beat on a different drum even from a very young age. And the blanket she made was a perfect reflection of that. As I looked over the blanket for the second time, I was filled with an immense sense of gratitude for my wonderful Grandma Grace. For the fact that she saw ME, even when I couldn't. What a special ability she had and what a blessing she has always been in my life. She is nearing her 100th birthday and I am so grateful I have been blessed with a specific reason/item to reflect on the profound impact she has had on my life and how much she means to me.

Tiny Moment - Hugs

The other day Jax and I were driving home from Walmart and he kept saying, "Momma, hug. Momma hug." And as I looked in my rear view mirror, he was reaching out for me. I couldn't help myself. I pulled over the car and hugged my boy. I know there will be a day, way too soon, where he won't want me to hug or kiss on him. So today, I am going to live in the happy moments and hug my boy whenever he is sweet enough to ask :). While I didn't get a picture of us hugging, here are some other pictures of our snuggles today. Love this sweet little turbo tornado boy of mine :).

Tiny Moment - Those Moments....

First of all, aren't these two the cutest!!! Seriously, they make my heart smile! My sister, Brooke, text me yesterday and asked if I would be willing to watch her little guy while she got her hair done. I agreed before she was done asking. He is the sweetest little dude and I love hanging out with him. When she dropped Lincoln off, Jax had been stripped down from playing with his water table and Linc was over heated from the car seat so he was stripped down too. So I had two little babes in diapers. And to my surprise, Jaxson got down on the floor and started to interact with Lincoln. While Jax loves his big cousins, he has never shown much interest in people smaller than him. But today he would lay on the ground and then Linc would crawl over to get him and Jax would get up giggling and run away and then come right back. Then they started crawling together. It was the sweetest thing ever, evident by the photos above. But it was also hard for me to watch. I couldn't help but think about the sibling I have been unable to give Jaxson and my heart broke. I was finally able to see how he might interact with a younger sibling and it amazed me. He was loving, attentive, playful and excited. For me it was one of the moments. When I remember it's still worth it to keep trying.

Tiny Moment - Watch Out

When this kid gets his hands on a hose.....watch out!!!!!! Because he will come for you! :) Well he definitely comes after his momma!!!!
