Tiny Moment - Mom Fail (Jax's Bumps Appointment One)

(Picture of a mom who had a fail today!!!! Ahhhhhh)

So Jax has had little bumps on his stomach and arms for a little over a month and half.  I thought maybe it was a flare up on folliculitis and just red from the heat. Jon mentioned a couple of times that maybe it was time to have them looked at. In the busy of summer I just kind of brushed it off. Finally the bumps started to spread quite rapidly, I decided it was time to get an appointment. I was told he contracted molluscum contagiosum. It's like a cousin to warts and usually contracted in a pool. The doctor said once he is treated and beats it, his immune system will have built up a great immunity to it and he shouldn't get it again. He will probably need 2 to 3 treatments, which is such a bummer for him. Today he had the first treatment and this is how it looked when it was time to wash on the solution.

In The Zone

I love when I get bursts of energy after Jax goes to bed and I get in the zone with my projects. Having amazing warm weather for September doesn't hurt either. Can't wait to post after pictures!!!!
Heirloom chair from my mom's parents (Grandma & Grandpa Haws). Refinishing for my niece, Lola's birthday.
Glued, filled and fixed this part of the chair.
So excited to get this beautiful side table refinished! Just hate sanding!!!
This is me after a lot, a lot, a lot of sanding!!!!

Tiny Moment - Anything Monkey

I love that this kid loves anything with a monkey on it. He is a little obsessed with his new monkey helmet. PS don't you love his pink hand-me-down tricycle. We are not picky around these parts, just grateful for sharing cousins :)

Tiny Moment - Little Sitting

Today I got to "little sit", meaning I got to watch a bunch of the littles! :) And we had a blast! Now they all just need to stop growing up.

Tiny Moment - What? Apples like that!

Gave Jax an apple with lunch today. Came back from doing dishes to see that he jabbed his apple with a fork and was eating it propped up on a fork.....whatever works!

Yard Sale

Today we had a fundraiser yard sale to support my sister, Shauna and her cute kiddos, after the sudden loss of her husband, Timmers.

Brooke and I decided to sleep outside the night before so we didn't have to get up super duper early and pull everything out (there was a ton of stuff). We really didn't sleep. We laughed, spied on teenagers "sitting" in their cars and pretended to sleep.
As we finally fell asleep, our day started. It was full of smiles, heart and tears.
Love these sisters of mine.....one sister was missing :( Jen had been helping all night and morning but was doing the mom thing running her kiddos when the yard sale finally slowed down enough to snap a few pictures.
This is how the end of the day looked. Dirty feet and an awesome sunglass tan line :). Overall such an amazing day. It was so amazing to see the generosity of people that donated as well as people who purchased items. So grateful to everyone who helped and made this day such a success for this sweet family.

Sundance Hike

Today was the perfect fall weather for a hike at Sundance. So we all loaded our kiddos up and headed up the mountain. It really was a beautiful hike but an exhausting one for this lady. Jaxson was boycotting his hiking pack but wanted to be carried for a lot of the hike and needed to be carried for the rest. It definitely made me think back to the many hikes Tim helped me with Jax. Man, I miss that guy! He was always so quick to serve and jump in and help me. Even when I acted so tough, he would pick up Jax without a word, smile and start hiking. He truly had such an amazing and giving heart. So grateful for the amazing memories I have of him and the effect he has had on my life. :)

Here is our hike on a perfect, beautiful fall day. I'm sure Timmers was with us today. He wouldn't have missed a good hike :).

Dreams

It's so hard when you dream about sweet babies. I wonder with so much hope, could it have more meaning than being just a dream? Or was it because I was paying infertility bills and have a wishful heart? The babies in my dream were so beautiful and unexpected. I could see every sweet detail only a mom notices. I inhaled the intoxicating new babes smell and felt their sweet fingers curl around my own. The joy in my dream was amazing and so incredibly freeing. It was so painful to wake up from holding my sweet babes that were all mine. All I could do was cry and wonder the purpose if any in my dreams.

Olympic Park

Get ready for a massive photo overload. Tim's work, ParentLink, invited Shauna's family, my family and mom to their annual office day out. Today was a good day. We all smiled, we laughed, we remembered all that was good. Today was good day.
